Daniel Hundt, age 63 of Lake Delton, Wisconsin formerly of Milwaukee, Wisconsin died peacefully Friday, July 18, 2008 at his residence. Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 24, 2008 at 6:00 P.M. at the Wisconsin Memorial Park Family Center in Brookfield, Wisconsin with Pastor Bryan O'Connor officiating. Visitation will be held at Wisconsin Memorial Park Family Center on Thursday from 4:00 P.M. until the time of service at 6 P.M. Daniel was born May 27, 1945 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin the son of Ralph and Jeanette (Fricke) Hundt. He enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in September of 1963, was stationed overseas in Okinawa and was honorably discharged in September of 1967. Of his many duties, Dan painted the teeth on the Flying Tiger aircraft. In February of 1965 he married Janyce Cowen in Milwaukee. Dan was a police officer in Milwaukee for 31 years, retiring as sergeant in 1998. For the past 10 years they have lived near Lake Delton where Dan enjoyed hunting and fishing and stayed busy with woodworking making beautiful crafts with the scroll saw and lathe and hand carvings, also making most of the home furniture. Dan is survived by his wife, Janyce; sons, Douglas of McGregor, Iowa, Mark (Denise) of Brown Deer, Wisconsin and Andrew of Waukesha, Wisconsin; a brother, Thomas (Juanita) of Hustisford, Wisconsin; and 6 grandchildren.
