Gloria Walther, age 62 of rural Mauston, Wisconsin died Monday, April 14, 2008 in the comfort of her own home surrounded by her loving family and friends.

Memorial funeral services will be held Friday, April 18, 2008 at 6:00 p.m. at the Conway-Picha Funeral Home in Lyndon Station, Wisconsin with Reverend Jeffrey Fairchild officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 3:00 p.m. until the time of service at 6:00 p.m.

Gloria was born May 3, 1945 in Fountain Township, Juneau County, Wisconsin, the daughter of George and Genevieve (Pfaff) Regelin. She graduated from Mauston High School. In July of 1964 she married Jerry Walther in Mauston. He preceded her in death in November of 2007. Gloria worked for Wisconsin Power and Light/Alliant Energy for 34 years, retiring in 2005. She enjoyed spending time with her family, friends and her Homemakers Group and her favorite pastimes included crafting, snowmobiling and volunteering her time at the Fountain Lutheran Mission Home in Hustler, Wisconsin. She also was a lifetime member of the Castle Rock River Runners Snowmobile Club.

Gloria is survived by a daughter, Debra (Glenn) Priest of Mauston; granddaughters, Ciera and Hali; and sisters, Kathleen Van Loon of Midway, Wisconsin, Louise Regelin of Moscow, Idaho and Delores (David) Segerstrom of Medford, Wisconsin. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jerry; sisters, infant, Grace, Florence Sackmaster and Viola “Sis” Brauer; and brothers, Ervin, Walter and Fred.

The family would like to offer special thanks to the following; Elaine, Bonnie and Barb of HospiceTouch; Georgene, Terry Jean and Denie, special nieces who helped care for “mom”; and Kathy, Betty and Sharon, special friends who also cared for “mom”.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the Hustler Booster Club for renovation of the Hustler Creamery.
