Irene Elizabeth Timlin, born 7 April 1918, and a lifelong resident of Wisconsin Dells, passed away 6 July 2008. There are no immediate family survivors – Irene was the “last leaf on the family tree”. She was preceded in death by her parents, Margaret (Howley) Timlin and Joseph Timlin and four sisters; Lorraine Rickenberg, Kathryn Timlin, Mary Jensen and Mildred Rubin and a niece, Catherine Jean Timlin. Irene was proud to be a cancer survivor since 1959, ever grateful to Dr. John Houghton. In the months before her death, Irene expressed gratitude that whenever the need arose, people were available to help her. Special thanks to Dr. David Watts and U.W. Hospital, and all others who prayed for Irene or assisted her over the years. A Funeral Mass will be concelebrated by Monsignor Felix Oehrlein and longtime friends of Irene, Fr. Bernard J. Pickarts and Fr. Raymond J. Dischler in St. Cecilia Catholic Church, Wisconsin Dells, Thursday, 10 July 2008, at 11 A.M. with interment in Calvary Cemetery following the Mass. Visitation will be held at St. Cecilia Church for two hours before the Funeral Mass, from 9 to 11 A.M. Memorials in Irene’s name can be given to the American Cancer Society or to St. Cecilia Parish - Church Building Fund. |
