James “Jim” Cornwell, age 73 of Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin died Sunday, February 3, 2008 at St. Clare Hospital, Baraboo, Wisconsin. Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 9, 2008 at 10:30 A.M. at the Picha Funeral Home in Lake Delton with Monsignor Felix Oehrlein celebrating. Burial will be at All Saints Cemetery in Dellona Township, Sauk County, Wisconsin. Visitation will be held at the Picha Funeral Home on Friday, February 8, 2008 from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. Military rites will be accorded at the gravesite by the Harold B. Larkin American Legion Post 187 of Wisconsin Dells. Jim was born March 6, 1934 in Reedsburg, Wisconsin the son of Leo and Mary (Pezall) Cornwell. He grew up in the Dells area and attended schools there. Following high school Jim enlisted in the U.S. Army and he was honorably discharged in October of 1956. He worked at Big Joe’s Manufacturing in Wisconsin Dells, retiring in 2000. Jim is survived by a son, Daniel (Tiffany) of Las Vegas, Nevada; grandchildren, Lisa Remington and Danny Cornwell of Tucson, Arizona, Querstin, Dylan and Kayla Cornwell of Las Vegas; great-grandsons, Christian and Ethen Remington of Tucson and great friends, Ronald and Mary Soma of Wisconsin Dells. He is loved and will be dearly missed by many. James was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Bob; and sisters, Phyllis Bowen and Dorothy Cornwell. |
