Mack Waters, age 84 of rural Lake Delton, Wisconsin died Tuesday, July 15, 2008 at University Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin.

Memorial funeral services will be held Saturday, July 19, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. at the Picha Funeral Home in Lake Delton with Reverend David Farina officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday from Noon until the time of service at 2 P.M.

Mack was born November 14, 1923 in Waterloo, Alabama the son of Robert and Mattie (Emerson) Waters. He attended schools in Mississippi and Tennessee and graduated with a B.S. degree from Memphis State University. He enlisted in the U.S. Army Air Corps in October of 1942 and was honorably discharged in January of 1946. In September of 1950 he married Patricia Thompson in Kenosha, Wisconsin. He was a salesman for Central Steel and Wire of Chicago for 34 years retiring in 1986. Mack was a member of the Reedsburg United Methodist Church where he especially enjoyed the bible study groups and he was a member of the Colorado Carvers Club and also taught wood carving at M.A.T.C.

Mack is survived by his wife, Patricia; daughters, Marti (Kevin) Fults of Wisconsin Dells, Mary (Jeff) Griffin of Reedsburg and Peggy (Gary) Stovich of West Allis, Wisconsin and 6 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Robert Macon Waters.

In lieu of flowers memorials to the University of Wisconsin Foundation, Madison would be appreciated.
