Mary Simonitsch, age 89 of Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin died peacefully Saturday, December 29, 2007 at the Divine Savior Extended Care in Portage, Wisconsin surrounded by her loving family. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, January 2, 2008 at 10:30 A.M. at St. Mary Catholic Church in Briggsville, Wisconsin with Father James Murphy celebrating. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Wisconsin Dells. Visitation will be held at St. Mary Catholic Church on Wednesday from 9:30 A.M. until the time of service at 10:30 A.M. Mary was born October 5, 1918 in Dows, Iowa the daughter of Elmer and Marie (Bacon) Warman. She married Charles Simonitsch in Des Moines, Iowa in July of 1944 and they raised their family in Moorhead, Minnesota. In 1967 they moved to Wisconsin Dells. Mary loved to work in the garden raising flowers and vegetables and she enjoyed sewing. She was a member of the Harold B. Larkin American Legion Post 187 Auxiliary of Wisconsin Dells, Homemaker’s Club, Ladies Sodality at St. Cecelia’s Catholic Church and St. Mary Catholic Church, and a lifetime member of the Catholic Daughters of America. Mary is survived by her sons, Robert (Joanne) of Lake Villa, Illinois, Roland (Lisa) of Richland Center, Wisconsin and Thomas (Margie) of Baraboo, Wisconsin; daughters, Margaret (David) Crummy of Monticello, Minnesota, Anna (Lloyd) Weber of Endeavor, Wisconsin, Mary (Mark) McConaughey of LaCrosse, Wisconsin and Irene (Nick) Klapper of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; 18 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a son, Charles; brother, Howard Warman and sister, Lois Abels. |
