Nancy Hisgen, age 71 of Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin died Wednesday, April 23, 2008 at her residence.

An Order of the Eastern Star memorial funeral service will be held Friday, May 2, 2008 at 7:00 P.M. at the Picha Funeral Home in Lake Delton, Wisconsin. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 6 p.m. until the time of service at 7 p.m.

Nancy was born January 14, 1937 in Racine, Wisconsin the daughter of Neil and Elsie (Winterle) Maher. She grew up in Racine and was married there in October of 1954 to Richard Hisgen. He preceded her in death in 1977. Nancy had worked at the Wisconsin Dells Visitor and Convention Bureau for the past 12 years. She treasured spending time with family and friends and she enjoyed traveling; visiting Brazil, Florida, California, Hawaii and Nova Scotia. Nancy was also a proud 43 year member of the Order of the Eastern Star where she held many offices and was a past Grand Chaplain of the State of Wisconsin and a former Grand Representative to New Brunswick.

Nancy is survived by her sons, Neil of Nova Scotia, John (Kathy) of Margate, Florida and Richard (Colleen) of Wisconsin Dells; daughters, Mary (Richard) Jacobson-Rasmussen of Wisconsin Dells and Alyce (Scott) Coyle of Eau Claire, Wisconsin; 10 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren and 5 sisters. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband and a daughter, Barbara Cure.
