Raymond Kozlowski, age 84 of Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin passed away Tuesday, March 4, 2008 at St. Clare Hospital, Baraboo, Wisconsin. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, March 7, 2008 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Cecilia’s Catholic Church in Wisconsin Dells with Monsignor Felix Oehrlein celebrating. Burial will be at Butterfield Cemetery in Excelsior Township, Sauk County, Wisconsin. Visitation will be held at the Picha Funeral Home in Lake Delton on Thursday, March 6, 2008 from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. with a vigil service at 8:00 P.M. and on Friday at St. Cecilia’s Catholic Church from 9:00 A.M. until the time of service at 10:00 A.M. Raymond was born July 19, 1923 in the township of Dellona, Wisconsin the son of Joseph and Sophia (Ryczek) Kozlowski. He was united in marriage to Alta Rhinehart on April 22, 1944 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Reedsburg, Wisconsin. This union was blessed with two children, Donald and Tim. Shortly after his marriage he started a small excavating business which he operated for several years, after which he sold the equipment and went to work for Scott Construction in Lake Delton. He worked there for 27 years after which he retired due to health problems. He spent his time doing the things he enjoyed most; hunting, fishing, traveling, playing cards and working on small engines. He cherished time spent with family and friends. His sense of humor and his willingness to help others will be truly missed. Raymond was a life-time member of the Delton Sportsmen’s Club to which he devoted many hours to its growth and maintenance of the facilities and member of the Lake Delton Volunteer Fire Department. Raymond is survived by his wife, Alta; son, Tim (Monica) of Princeton, Wisconsin; three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; brothers, Cornelius Kozlowski and Walter Kozlowski both of Wisconsin Dells, Edmund Kozlowski of Elroy, Wisconsin; sisters Elizabeth Proeber of Wisconsin Dells and Alice Bender of Elroy along with many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Donald; brothers, Frank Hudzinski, Harry Hudzinski, Roman Hudzinski and David Hudzinski; sisters, Cecilia (Hudzinski) Meyer and Agnes (Kozlowski) Peasall. |
