Violet M. Kalamarz, age 80 of Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin died peacefully in the comfort of her own home on Tuesday, February 12, 2008.

Memorial funeral services will be held Monday, February 18, 2008 at 6:30 P.M. at the Conway-Picha Funeral Home in Lyndon Station, Wisconsin. Visitation will be held prior to the service at the funeral home from 4:30 P.M. to 6:30 P.M.

Violet was born May 4, 1927 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin the daughter of Henry and Anna (Jungen) Brown. She loved her family and adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them; she was fond of handicrafts; liked to eat at different restaurants and travel; and she always enjoyed good times with friends. Violet worked as a candy maker in the Dells for many years. She was especially proud of her many chocolate-covered treats. Violet also survived a bout with pancreatic cancer in 1999 and was very grateful to the staff at St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison.

Violet is survived by a son, Timothy (Sherry) Kalamarz of McFarland, Wisconsin; daughters, Judith Rohde of DuBois, Wyoming, Kathleen (Robert) Hagen of Wisconsin Dells, and Donna (Thomas) Behnke of Portage, Wisconsin; 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Clarence, Harris and Raymond; sisters, Jeanette Hagen, Evelyn Beschta and Pearl Sevigny; and former husband, Joseph Kalamarz.
