Evelyn Gorzalski, age 91 of Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin passed away peacefully Saturday, September 15, 2012 at the St. Clare Hospice House in Baraboo, Wisconsin.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, September 18, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Cecilia's Catholic Church in Wisconsin Dells with Father Michael Richel celebrating. Burial will be at Wood National Cemetery in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Visitation will be held at St. Cecilia's Catholic Church on Tuesday from 9:30 A.M. until the time of service at 11 A.M.
Evelyn was born to Peter and MaryAnn (Kelley) Macardle on Sept. 4, 1921 in Belfast, Ireland. While serving with United Nations Investigative Reporting Agency in postwar Germany, she met Raymond Gorzalski. They were married on Aug 17, 1948 in Belfast, Ireland and lived in Greenfield, WI for over 40 years. Evelyn enjoyed sewing, cooking and gardening. Her strong faith in God also led her to being very prayerful.
Evelyn is survived by her children: Brian (Janet) Gorzalski, Kathleen (Robert) Baker, Sean Gorzalski, and Deirdre (Scott) Gavin; grandchildren Emily Gorzalski, Laura Baker, Rachel Baker, Mark Baker, Alex Gorzalski, Megan Gorzalski and Michael Gavin; and great-grandchildren Kailie Paulson and Ethan Baker. Evelyn is also survived by many nieces, nephews and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Raymond and a grandson, Garrett Gorzalski.
