Belva Hanko, age 92, of Baraboo, Wisconsin passed away on Wednesday, January 8, 2025.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, January 16, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Cecilia's Catholic Church in Wisconsin Dells, WI with Fr. Luke Powers celebrating. Visitation will be held at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass at 11:00 a.m.
Belva was born in Cazenovia, Wisconsin the daughter of Fred and Verna (Bender) Hutchens. She did daycare in her home for many years and later worked for American Family Insurance. Belva and Lawrence owned a second home at Lake Arrowhead and spent weekends up there until they retired at 62. They purchased a vacation home in Palmetto, FL and spent winters enjoying life there. Belva and Lawrence celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary on July 26th 2022.
She will be greatly missed by her 5 children; Dan (Vicky), Gary (Karen), Linda, Kevin (Theresa) and Tim, her 5 grandchildren; Steve, Seth, Kaitlyn, Jennilyn and Jeremy (Kelli). She is further survived by her 5 great-grandchildren, brother David Hutchens, along with many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents Verna and Fred, husband Lawrence, sister Naomi, in-law's Joe and Nellie Hanko and brother-in-law Pete Beatty.
Donations may be made in Belva's memory to St. Cecilia's Catholic Church.
