Betty Wegert, age 88, of Wisconsin Dells, WI, passed away on Friday, May 30, 2025, at her home.

A Memorial celebration of life will be held on Sunday, June 29, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the Delton Sportsman's Club on Berry Road in Wisconsin Dells.

Betty was born June 6, 1936, in Jackson Township, Adams County, WI, the daughter of Wilbur and Lillian (Huber) Nelson. She was a WDHS Graduate in 1954. Betty married William Wegert on October 29, 1955. She worked for Vacationland Vendors from 1962 until 2019, when she retired at the age of 83.She loved to crochet afghans. In their earlier days she enjoyed fishing trips with husband William; later she enjoyed exploring many states with her daughter and family. Betty's favorite flowers were always yellow roses and gardenias. She was the strength of her family and always had a smile. She will be greatly missed.

Betty is survived by her husband, William; daughter Debra (Michael), Althen; son Howard (Jane) Wegert and their son, William (Czarina) Wegert; grandchildren, Olivia Wegert, Kaitlynn Althen (David) Milbauer, William (Sarah) Althen, Mathaus (Hannah) Wegert, Michael (Carrie) Miessner and Sven (Karan) Miessner and her great-grandson, Weston Milbauer. She is further survived by brother, Jerry (Rose) Nelson and sisters, Stella Zaja and Kaye Nelson. She is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Liz Bauer; brother, Howard Nelson and granddaughter Bridgett Wegert.
