It is with profound sadness that we announce that Bo Hopkins, age 44 of Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin, was unexpectedly taken from all of us on Wednesday, October 16, 2024.

A Celebration of Life for Bo will be held on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, at 4:00 PM at Trappers Turn with Pastor Fred Weiss presiding. Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM until the time of the service at 4:00 PM. A time of Sharing will take place following the service for anyone who would like to share memories of Bo.

Bo was born July 8, 1980, in Anchorage, Alaska. The son of Timothy and Sandra (Korevec) Hopkins.

Bo was a loving father, an incredible coach, a caring brother and a loyal friend to many. Bo also enjoyed working for the Marlewski Family at Oxford Music Games and Vending.

As a father Bo always placed his daughter Ashiya Hopkins at the center of his world. He always led with love, understanding, guidance, and an unwavering commitment to her happiness. He was her biggest supporter and her greatest role model. Bo and Ashiya had many adventures traveling the country during her time playing AAU Basketball. Bo embodied every single part of being a girl dad. From the start of her basketball career, to dressing her in mini gowns for pageants, to cheering poolside at swim meets, and to any and everything his little girl participated in.

As a brother Bo was protective, caring and loving. The bond he shared with his sister Tricia Smith, was truly special, unmatched and irreplaceable. Their connection was a source of strength and love, a relationship that will always be treasured.

As a coach Bo went beyond teaching the game. He instilled values of perseverance, teamwork, and respect, leaving a lasting impression on every player he mentored. His passion for helping young athletes grow, not just in skill but in character, will be remembered by all who were fortunate enough to play under his guidance. Bo always had an amazing dynamic with the other coaches and especially with Corey Smith. His relationship with the refs on the other hand…

As a friend Bo had a heart full of love and loyalty. He was the kind of person you could always rely on. His strength was a source of comfort, and his sense of humor was constant. Bo could light up a room with his laughter and could be counted on to lift up those around him whenever life got difficult. He knew when to offer advice, a shoulder to lean on, or simply a smile to remind you that everything would be okay.

Bo's gift for connection was truly special. He had the ability to strike up a conversation with anyone, and not just about everyday things, but about topics that mattered, things that truly connected people. Whether you shared a brief moment with him or spent an entire weekend at a basketball tournament together, Bo made you feel seen, heard, and valued. He had a way of making everyone feel important and special, a rare quality that touched so many lives.

Bo's kindness, selflessness, and generosity knew no bounds. He would do anything for anyone, often placing the needs of others before his own. Our community is undoubtedly a better, stronger place because of him. His legacy of compassion and dedication will forever live on in the countless lives he touched.

Many of us can relate to Bo through his hobbies and passions. From his younger days playing ball at Bowman with the Barker girls or shenanigans with the original 5, to late night Fortnite with his gaming friends, from taking a mulligan to quarterbacking at flag football. Bo was also passionate about the Patriots and would never back down from a conversation about The Goat Tom Brady.

To know Bo is to love Bo and he will be remembered not just for the incredible things he accomplished, but for the way he made people feel valued, cared for, and loved. His impact on the community is immeasurable, and his absence will be felt by all who were blessed to know him. We will forever cherish the memories, the laughter and the love he shared with us, and his spirit will continue to guide us for years to come.

Bo is survived by his daughter Ashiya, sister Tricia, best four-legged friend Havoc, dad, and grandparents Bob and Shirley Cummings. Bo is also survived by other family and so many friends.

Bo is preceded in death by his mother.
