Obituary

Carol Keen of Lyndon Station, WI, passed away on Sunday, October 19th in her home. She was only one month shy of her 87th birthday.

No services are planned at this time. Donations in her memory to the Carl W Nelson animal shelter in Mauston would be greatly appreciated.

Carol was born on November 19th, 1938 in Mauston, Wisconsin, the daughter of Percy and Bessie (Clickner) Sias. She was the youngest girl and had seven brothers and sisters. She graduated from Mauston High School. She married the love of her life, Larry Keen, in 1964 and together they built a home and raised three children. Carol was a loving and devoted matriarch, affectionately known as "Gmaw" to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Being surrounded by her family was her greatest joy.

Carol worked in the Dells for over 30 years and enjoyed getting to talk with everyone she met. She loved having pet dogs, the most recent being a boxer whose name & occupation was Buddy. She trained him to call her "mama" when begging for a bite of her dinner.

Though she didn't travel often, Carol made sure to see her favorite musical artist, Willie Nelson, in concert at least four times. She was also a proud and loyal Green Bay Packers fan throughout her life.

She is survived by her son Cory Keen, grandson Michael (Kristin) Keen, granddaughter Sam (Cory) Sommerfeld and 2 great-grandchildren, Alaric and Wolfgang Keen. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, her loving husband Larry, her children Edmund and Jodi, and her grandson Harold.
