Carol Reich (Sommerfeld), aged 89, of Lake Delton, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on Wednesday morning, March 26th, 2025. She was surrounded by her loving daughter and son-in-law, Brian and April Koerber, at their home where she resided and was cared for the past three years. Carol cherished her days waving to passing boats, petting the deers, relaxing on our beach on the river, and sleeping outside listening to the waves.
Born on April 2nd, 1935, in Illinois, to Arthur and Leona (Calderwood) Sommerfeld, Carol was a beloved mother to her daughter, April, and son-in-law, Brian Koerber, as well as to her second daughter, Jodie Urbanski. She was a grandmother to six grandchildren: Trentino Witte, Gianna Witte, Cody Koerber, Keith (Lauren) Burkhardt, and Steven Urbanski, and a great-grandmother to Aspen and Anaya. Carol was also a sister-in-law to Susan Wilmer. She leaves behind a legacy of love and warmth, cherished by all who knew her.
Carol is now reuniting with her family and friends who have passed before her, including her parents, Arthur and Leona Sommerfeld, brother Richard Sommerfeld, and likely greeting her ex-husbands, Richard Johnson, Donald Soltis, and Raymond Reich. Known as the best hairstylist, she is probably already making appointments for haircuts and color in heaven!
