Obituary

Cheryl Kay Schneider, age 74, of Mauston, Wisconsin passed away on September 3, 2024, at Crestview Nursing Home in New Lisbon, Wisconsin surrounded by her family.

A Memorial Service for Cheryl will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2024, at 11:00 A.M. at St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Lyndon Station, WI. Visitation will be held from 9:00 A.M. until the time of service at 11:00 A.M. Cheryl will be laid to rest at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery at a later date.

Cheryl was born on May 20, 1950, in Decatur, Illinois. The daughter of William and Mary (nee Bruns) Burns. She was a people's person and made everyone feel welcome even meeting someone for the first time. Cheryl was an extremely dedicated person and would go from start to finish, she enjoyed the outdoors and all types of flowers, she was the number 1 Packers Fan out there, and Cheryl enjoyed singing especially Patsy Cline. Most important to Cheryl was family, whether it was caring for her daughter or spending time with her grandbabies.

Cheryl is survived by her husband Kenneth, daughter Tiffany (Mark) Dixon, grandchildren, Aiea, Mark Jr., and Ana Rose and stepchildren Mike and Kristi Schneider. She is also survived by her siblings; William "Butch" (Linda) Burns, Patricia (Ken) Briggs, David (Jody) Burns, and Beverly Jo (Jim) Betz; her in-laws; Gloria (Dick McCurdy) Wollmer, Eileen Stillson, Peter (Linda) Schneider, Ruth (George) Tremel, Maryann (Jim) Alaby, Donald (Michelle) Schneider, Bill (Connie) Schneider, Patty Ely, and Tom Schneider.

Cheryl is preceded in death by her parents and first husband Richard Klett.
