Cornelio "Corky" Betancourt, age 50, of Wisconsin Dells, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 2, 2024 at home.

A funeral service for Corky will be held on Sunday, April 7, 2024 at Conway-Picha Funeral Home in Lyndon Station at 5:00 P.M. with Fr. Cryton Outschoorn celebrating. Visitation will be from 1:00 P.M. until the time of service at 5:00 P.M. Corky will be laid to rest at Calvary Cemetery at a later date.

Corky was born on October 23, 1973, in Chicago Heights, Illinois, the son of Jose and Mary (Castillo) Betancourt. He was a well-known guy and extremely friendly to everyone he met, you became a friend of Corky after the first time you met him. Corky was big into collectables and truly enjoyed collecting Star Wars memorabilia. The most important thing to Corky was family and he was one to never miss a birthday or holiday celebration and was known for his gift giving abilities. He will truly be missed by all.

Corky is survived by his mom, Mary, his sisters, Desi (Santos) Garcia and Roxane Betancourt; brothers, Joe Betancourt, Daniel Betancourt, and TJ (Lyndzey) Betancourt. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

He is preceded in death by his father and sister Oneida Sable Betancourt.
