Obituary

Deborah "Deb" Schweda, age 74, of Baraboo, Wisconsin passed away on Thursday, October 23, 2025 at her home.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, October 26, 2025 at 3:00 P.M. at Picha Funeral Home in Lake Delton, WI, with Chaplain Jonathan Tipton officiating. Visitation will be held from 12:00 Noon to 3:00 p.m.

Deb was born January 5, 1951 in Louisville, Kentucky the daughter of Maurice "Ed" and Barbara (Pollard) Tindle. Deb was a caretaker and spent all of her life in the medical field, beginning as a candy striper in her teens. She went on to become a pharmacist technician, EMT, medical assistant and phlebotomist.

Deb fiercely loved her family and the time they spent together. She made the best deviled eggs and garlic dip, making them highly requested at all family get-togethers. She loved "Sunday Fundays" and cheering her grandchildren on at all their events and looked forward to her annual Black Friday shopping with her granddaughters. She was proud to be a Christian and shared her faith with her daughters and Sunday School classes. Her favorite scripture was Footprints.

Deb brought joy wherever she went and will be missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her husband Thomas; daughters, Melissa (David) Greenwood and Melanie Platt; stepsons, Troy, Brian and Chad Schweda; sister Sandra (George) Sobotka; 9 grandchildren, Carrie Schweda, Karsen (Ryan) Downing, Hudson (Cristina) Greenwood, Addison (Bret Hirst) Platt, Luke Schweda, Olivia Platt, Burke Schweda, Martin IV Platt, Kenley Schweda and 2 great-grandchildren, Parker Schweda and Camden Downing. She is preceded by her parents, brother Ronald Tindle and step-daughter Becky Schweda.

The family would like to thank Agrace, especially Katrina Schmidtke, Candace Vires and Hunter Wimmer, and special friend Brooke Bode for all their help, guidance and love.
