Dennis Christopher Brady, 66, of Lyndon Station, Wisconsin, passed away on Thursday, October 8, 2026.
Born on February 25, 1960, in Waukegan, Illinois, Dennis was the son of the late John and Bernice (Biers) Brady. On May 23, 1992, he married Doreen M. Hughes in McHenry, Illinois.
To know Dennis was to love him. He was a hardworking, generous, larger-than-life man who could light up any room he walked into. He was the life of the party, the kind of person who could turn an ordinary gathering into an unforgettable memory. His heart was as big as his personality, and the impact he made on those around him will never be forgotten. Above all else, Dennis was a devoted family man. He adored his wife, his children, and his three grandchildren, who brought him immeasurable happiness and pride. No matter how busy life became, his family was always at the center of his world. The love he had for them was unconditional, and the memories they shared will forever be treasured.
Construction wasn’t simply Dennis’s career; it was his passion, his pride, and a defining part of who he was. He dedicated his life to the underground sewer and water industry, building a career through hard work, determination, and an unmatched love for what he did. Most recently, Dennis served as superintendent of the underground sewer and water division for Berger Excavating Contractors, with one of his final projects being the construction of Northwestern University’s Ryan Field. His work helped build more than infrastructure; it created a legacy of dedication, craftsmanship, and pride that will stand for generations. To his family, there was no greater feeling than being able to point to something he helped build and proudly say, “Our dad did that.”
When Dennis wasn’t hard at work, he enjoyed the things that made life worth living. He was an avid NASCAR fan, a proud Harley-Davidson motorcycle enthusiast, and a devoted San Francisco 49ers fan. He also had a special love for The Three Stooges, whose timeless humor brought him countless laughs. He especially cherished his time up north in Lyndon Station, Wisconsin, where he could surround himself with the people he loved most. There, he proudly carried on his family’s legacy as the third generation on the family farm. It was more than just a place to him; it was a connection to his roots, his family, and the generations that came before him.
Dennis lived his life with a big heart, a strong work ethic, and a love for his family that knew no bounds. He taught those around him the importance of working hard, helping others, and, most importantly, loving with everything you have. His legacy is not only found in the projects he helped build or the countless lives he touched, but in the lessons he leaves behind: Love hard. Never go to bed angry. Always hug the people you love, and never let a moment pass without reminding them how much they mean to you.
Dennis is survived by his loving wife, Doreen M. Brady; his three children, Jonathan Brady, Constance Brady (Anthony San Pietro), and Angela (Brady) Hayman (Nicholas Hayman); his three beloved grandchildren, Mallory Brady, Aliza Hayman, and Theodore Hayman; and many cherished nieces and nephews.
Although his time here ended far too soon, the love Dennis gave, the memories he created, and the legacy he built will live on through his family and everyone fortunate enough to have known him.
