Dennis R. Griep, age 71, of Baraboo, WI passed away June 30, 2026, peacefully at his home after a short illness.

Services will be private in accordance with Dennis' wishes.

Dennis was born January 5, 1955 in Anchorage, Alaska, to John and Shirley Griep (Weber).

Dennis started his career with his father, John R. Griep, in 1972 as part of the founding team of Portage Casting & Mold, Inc. (PCM). He spent his entire career at Portage Casting & Mold, Inc. retiring as President of the company in March 2023.

Dennis worked in all facets of the company manufacturing aluminum castings and molds targeting the plastics industries. His reward was seeing the products as they arrived in the marketplace and always seeking new projects that challenged the envelope of applying mold building technologies in producing plastic products, especially in the discipline of thermoforming plastic parts.

Dennis married Sandra (Sandy) Daines on September 11, 1993. They enjoyed 30 years of marriage together before she passed away on November 30, 2023.

He is survived by his mother Shirley A. (Weber) Griep of Litchfield Park, AZ; sisters, Debra (Patrick) Kogutkiewicz of Buckeye, AZ; Diane (James) Preuss of Portage, WI; Karen (Vince) Brunner of Baraboo, WI; brother Kenneth (Jennifer) Griep of Portage, WI and many nieces and nephews. Dennis was preceded in death by his father John R. Griep and his wife Sandra (Daines) Griep.
