Don Marsich, age 82, of Wisconsin Dells, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 22, 2026 at St. Clare Hospital in Baraboo.

Don was born on October 29, 1943 in Chicago to Victor and Ruth (Schmehl) Marsich. When he was young his parents moved to Lake Delton where they built and ran Vic's Cottages on Lake Delton for many years. Don held a lifelong appreciation for the lake and its history. He graduated from Wisconsin Dells High School in 1961 and married his classmate and sweetheart, Donna Nelson, on November 2, 1963. Together they raised three children: Dawn (David) Fedderly of Reedsburg, Darrin (Laurie) Marsich of Wisconsin Dells, and Dan (Robin) Marsich of Wisconsin Dells. A tool and die maker by trade, Don established his own business, Country Tool, in the late 1980s. He produced molds for many companies including Mercury Marine and Flambeau in Baraboo. Together with Donna, he managed Colonial Apartments for many years and took pride in remodeling several local rental properties. Through their hard work and shared ventures, Don and Donna built a long and stable life together in the Wisconsin Dells area.

Don was happiest outdoors. Whether he was metal detecting, boating, kayaking or scuba diving he never missed a chance to be in the sun. In recent years, his passion was golf, specifically spending time on the course at Spring Brook with his friends. He enjoyed many miles behind the wheel of his 1962 Corvette convertible and cherished the winters spent in Fort Myers Beach, Florida, where he spent his days biking, fishing, and shelling.

Don is survived by his wife of 62 years, Donna; his 3 children; 11 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his older brother Dick (Mary) Marsich; and his parents-in-law, Joe and Dorothy Nelson.

A private family service will be held to honor Don's memory. The family is grateful for your support and for honoring their wish for a quiet time of remembrance.
