Obituary

Edward Wilbur Cloud, "Nacge Huuk", age 58, of Baraboo, Wisconsin recently walked on at Theda Care in Appleton, Wisconsin with his extended family by his side.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 30, 2024 at 12:00 Noon at the Native American Church in Wisconsin Dells, WI with Larry Walker officiating. He will be buried at the Indian Heights Cemetery following the service.

Ed was born on February 24, 1966 in Baraboo to Alvin and Gladys (Blackdeer) Cloud. He began his journey on Wednesday, August 28, 2024. Ed was a member of the Ho-Chunk Nation. Ed was always known for helping others in need and even assisted in building the Native American Church in Wisconsin Dells. He was a man with many talents and considered himself a chef, a mechanic, carpenter, roofer and master crafter. He even danced at Stand Rock Indian Ceremonial.

Edward is survived by his children, Cody Cloud of Wittenberg, WI, Eliza Myra Jo Cloud of Black River Falls, WI; sisters, Janet (Matt) McKee of Wisconsin Dells, Marjorie Whitman of Lyndon Station, and Glen Decorah of Baraboo; nephews, Kidd Cloud of Lyndon Station, Jacob Wilson of Wisconsin Dells; nieces, Tina (Anthony) Barrea of Necedah, WI, Jett Kalista of Wisconsin Dells; grandsons, Evan Wilson of Wisconsin Dells and Cameron Wilson of Mille Lacs, MN. Edward is preceded in death by his parents, Alvin and Gladys Cloud; paternal grandparents, Edward and Ruth Cloud; maternal grandparents Wilbur and Emily Blackdeer; brothers, Carson and Orrin Cloud; sister, Marlene Stand and nephew, Jeremy Wilson.
