Edwin "Skip" Kuwitzky, Jr. age 92 of Mauston, Wisconsin passed away peacefully Friday, September 12, 2025 at his residence with his family by his side.

The Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, September 17, 2025 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Mauston with Father Cruz Divakaran Iruthayam celebrating. Visitation will be held at St. Patrick's Catholic Church on Wednesday from 10:30 a.m. until the time of Mass at 11:30 a.m.

Edwin was born July 26, 1933 in Carroll, Iowa the son of Edwin and Bernice (Galvin) Kuwitzky, Sr.. He grew up in Carroll, Richland Center, Wisconsin and Baraboo, Wisconsin and in September of 1954 he enlisted in the U.S. Army, served as a combat engineer in Germany and was honorably discharged in August of 1956. He married LaVonne Thompson in Baraboo, Wisconsin on August 10, 1957. His work career involved managing the Schultz Brothers variety stores in Wisconsin and Illinois for over 40 years and then working at Best Power of Necedah, Wisconsin for 8 years until his retirement where he enjoyed the rural life near Mauston.

Edwin is survived by a son, Kerry (Cheryl) Kuwitzky; daughter, Kim (Robert) Finley; a brother, Michael (Linda) Kuwitzky; a sister, Linda Parks; 4 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, LaVonne; and sisters, Mildred Trapp and Joan Groagan.
