Eileen Ann (Wenkman) Gruman of Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin, entered into eternity on August 13, 2024 after living a faith-filled life.

Eileen was born in Wisconsin Dells to Mae and Joseph Wenkman on August 18, 1937. Eileen graduated from Wisconsin Dells High School in 1955 and married her high school sweetheart, Tom Gruman at St. Cecelia Catholic Church. Together they raised a family with Eileen supporting her husband and children as a homemaker. Her fierce love for family sustained their home, and she could always be seen in the bleachers or audience or wherever her family's activities took them. She was feisty, and funny, and incredibly loyal to those she loved. Everyone knew never to mess with the Grandma Lady! She made friends in all of the towns in which her family lived (Tomah, Little Chute, Weyauwega, Fennimore, Mauston), before finally returning home to Wisconsin Dells. After raising her own children, she doted on her grandchildren while caring full-time for Tom in his final years. She was overjoyed to have also become a great-grandmother.

Eileen was a life-long member of St. Cecelia Catholic Church in Wisconsin Dells. She sang in the choirs and attended daily Mass until her own health began to decline. That did not stop her from watching Mass on television, praying the Rosary daily, and welcoming visits from her devoted Priest and prayer groups from the church. Her devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary was deep and gave her much peace, especially in her last days.

She is now enjoying that relationship face to face, and in reunion with those who predeceased her: her parents, Mae and Joseph; her siblings Mary, Micki, Danny, and Tommy, her beloved son Ray, and her husband Tom.

Eileen is survived by her children Mark/Katie Gruman, Bernadette Shirley, Carrie Gruman-Trinkner, Mary/Craig Ellenbecker, and daughter-in-law Sherry (Joel) Weiss.

She adored her grandchildren:  Samatha Gruman, Sgt. Tom Gruman, Raymond Gruman, Mari Shirley/fiance Aaron Stroede, Sarah Shirley, Jake Shirley, Kaitlynne/Brody Herb, Aaron/Lauren Mueller Trinkner, Alex Trinkner/fiancee Melanie Othon, Kelsey/Logan Trinkner Webster, Aiden/fiancee Alyssa Thomas, Taylor/Joe Bertane, Madison/David Hahne, Megan/Jeffery Wiseman, Emily Ellenbecker, and Sam Ellenbecker.

She was overjoyed to have been blessed with her great-grandchildren: Casey Parker Gruman, Rae Bertane, William Bertane, Addison Herb, and Baby Girl Hahne who is soon to join the clan.

Those who wish to come together to celebrate Eileen and her life well-lived, you are welcome to St. Cecelia's Catholic Church, Wisconsin Dells, on Friday, August 23, 2024. The visitation will be held at 10:00 A.M. and followed by the Memorial Mass at 11:00 A.M. After Mass, interment will take place at Calvary Cemetery. All are welcome to attend a luncheon in the Crystal Room at Buffalo Phil's Grille – 150 Gasser Road - following the proceedings.
