Elaine Lauretta Hall, 97, of Baraboo, WI went to be with her Savior on Thursday, January 30, 2025.
She was born January 11, 1928, in Grafton, Iowa to Lloyd and Iva (Kirchgatter) Lang. When she was several months old, her family moved to Milwaukee where she graduated from Milwaukee Lutheran High School in 1945. On January 11, 1947, she was united in marriage to Jimmy C. Hall. Jim and Elaine built their life together through the years in Wisconsin, Michigan and Illinois. Elaine raised seven remarkable children and was blessed with 15 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. Her ever-present positive mindset and appreciation for all that she found beautiful throughout her life will be dearly missed.
Elaine is survived by six of her seven children: Barbara Baird, Keith (Ann) Hall, Gwen (John) Weiland, Jeffrey (Beth) Hall, Elizabeth Hall, and Ruth Ann (Derek) Smith. Grandchildren Susan Platt, Michael Wiechert, Kristen Shirley, Jamie Weiss, Katie Gurney, Karen Weiland, Andrew Weiland, Anthony Hall, Janet Bressette, Timothy Harriman, Derek Smith Jr., Nathan Smith, Caleb Smith, Benjamin Smith and Olivia Smith. Great Grandchildren Megan, Maverick and Macy Platt, Noah Wiechert, Oliven, Beckett and Hatley Weiss, Myles and Graham Gurney, Taylor Line, Skylar, Emmalyn, Wesley, Wyatt and Zoe Weiland, Ethan and Matthew Bressette, Ayden Harriman, Adina and Liliana Smith.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Iva Lang, husband Jimmy C. Hall Sr., son Jimmy C. Hall Jr. and son-in-law Fred Baird.
The family would like to thank the staff of Jefferson Meadows Care Center for their care and support. Special thanks to Rev. Matt Gerike and Vicar Travis Galle of Trinity Lutheran Church for their spiritual care.
Services will be held on Monday, February 3, 2025, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 728 Church Street, Wisconsin Dells, WI with visitation at 10 am and service at 11 am.
In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Trinity Lutheran Church or the Sauk County Humane Society.
