Obituary

Enith Bailey, age 77, of Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin, passed away on Thursday, July 16, 2026 at her home.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, July 24, 2026 at 10:30 A.M. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Wisconsin Dells with Pastor Matthew Gehrke officiating. Visitation will be held at the church from 9:00 a.m. to the time of service at 10:30 a.m. She will be buried at the Spring Grove Cemetery in Wisconsin Dells.

Enith was born December 15, 1948 in Chaska, Minnesota, the daughter of Dean and Lois (Molnau) Degler. She graduated from Concordia University of St. Paul in 1969. Received a call to teach and be the Music Director at Trinity Lutheran Church and School in Wis. Dells. She began teaching grades 1 and 2 and was the choir director.

Throughout the years she started a school and children’s choir, chimes choir and she taught grades 3 and 4 for 12 years. Enith was awarded “Teacher of the Year” for her 45+ years of outstanding dedicated service and for 55 years of Music and Teaching Ministry at Trinity Lutheran School. She was the church high school youth group leader and selected Trinity students to speak at the Southern Area Association Speaking Contest of Columbia County. She also founded the Wisconsin Dells Girls Club Basketball.

Enith is survived by her husband Michael; son, Brant; daughter, Emmain Briley and grandchildren, Christian and Cheryl; brother Gayle (Lois) Degler and sister Aleen (Larry) Edge.

She is preceded in death by her parents and daughter, Laina Bailey; son-in-law Donnie Briley and brother Crae Degler.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Enith’s memory to Trinity Lutheran Church and School in Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin.
