Francis E. “Frank” Kranz, age 75 of Mauston, Wisconsin passed away unexpectedly Thursday, September 10, 2026 while fishing near Hayward, Wisconsin.

A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held at the Conway Picha Funeral Home, 450 County Road HH, Lyndon Station, WI on Thursday, September 17, 2026 from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. with military rites held at the funeral home at 4:30 p.m. In Frank’s memory, please dress casual and join family and friends at The Rock campground bar following the gathering. Frank was born February 25, 1951, to Edward and Bonnie (Bires) Kranz. He attended Mauston schools and went into the Army (1968-1972). He attended WWTI for autobody school in the 1970’s. Frank was a rural mail carrier in Lyndon Station for many years. He also owned Frank Kranz Service Company, as a local plumber. Frank was married to Natty Hall and they later divorced.

In his free time, he loved to fish, hunt, and BS with his friends. He was known for his pranks and mischief. He will be missed by many!

Frank is survived by a son, Jon Kranz; daughter, Mandy (Ryan) Brice; grandchildren, Isaac Steinke and Tyson Brice; significant other Debbie Stevens and her children Brandon Stevens and Bethany Crook; grandchildren Reilly, LaRreah, Byson, Elizabeth and Andrew. He is further survived by sisters, Mary Kranz, Patty (Marcus) Welch and Sandy (Rob) McFarlin; brothers-in-law Al Czarnecki and John Bundy along with many good friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Anna Marie (Wesley) Iraha, Vicky Czarnecki, Cathy Bundy and an infant sister, Theresa, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
