Fred Westerfeldt, age 70, of Wisconsin Dells, WI passed away peacefully on August 27, 2024 at his home.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 31, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. at Bethany Lutheran Church in Wisconsin Dells, WI, with Pastor Joseph Doegen officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:00 A.M. until the time of service at 11:00 A.M. He will be laid to rest at Spring Grove Cemetery in Wisconsin Dells, WI following the service.

Fred was born in Mauston (Juneau County) and was the son of Dr. Marvin and Marion (Hanson) Westerfeldt. He had a deep passion for music, which he pursued for his own enjoyment and shared with his sons from an early age. His love for plants and the outdoors led him to work as a landscaper until his retirement. Fred's enthusiasm for hunting, which started in his youth, remained a cherished activity throughout the fall and winter seasons. He spent many days hunting during bow and rifle seasons with his sons and took great pleasure in mentoring Ashley in the sport. Fred's love of teaching extended to all his interests, and he enjoyed sharing his passions with others. His involvement in Bethany Lutheran Church was marked by numerous contributions. In retirement, he cherished the time spent with his grandchildren, valuing every moment. Fred will be deeply missed by his family.

Survivors include his wife, Rita; two sons Kyler (Irena) and Brenden (Ashley); grandchildren Dallan and Petra; his brother Chris; his sisters, Lisa (Marc) Playman, Beth Westerfeldt, Nan Wilson, and Nita Su Jiivana. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Gary.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Bethany Lutheran Church would be appreciated.
