Gloria Borkowski, age 88, of Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin passed away on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at her home with her family and beloved cat Gizzmo by her side.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, April 16, 2026, at 11:00 A.M. at St. Cecilia's Catholic Church in Wisc. Dells with Father Luke Powers celebrating. Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass at 11:00. Burial will follow at the Newport Lutheran Church Cemetery.

Gloria was born on December 26, 1937, in Newport Township, Wisconsin, the daughter of Edmund and Marjorie (Zeitz) Bogh. She graduated from Wisc. Dells High school and attended UW-Milwaukee for music. She met her husband Joe roller skating and the two were married in 1957. Roller skating became a weekly family event. Gloria worked for Wisc. Dells School District, Upham Woods, St. Cecilia's Catholic School. She was a seamstress for Rosemary's Hawaiian Shop and Walgen Meyers Shoe Factory. She played organ for over 50 years combined for St. Cecilia's and Newport Evangelical Lutheran Church. She loved gardening, reading, being a seamstress, working on home projects, & music. She was a devoted mother and would do anything for her children & grandchildren. She loved collecting cows. She always enjoyed sitting down to a hand of euchre or sheepshead with a glass of Pinot Grigio. She did not like to cook but was particularly good at it!

She is survived by her children Laurie (Nan) Borkowski, Helene (Steve) Tortorici, Joseph (Diane) Borkowski, Cynthia (Jack) Ewig; grandchildren, Lauren Lisner, Olivia Wegert, Madchen Ewig, Brett (Gretchen) Tortorici, Rachel Tortorici, Sarah (Dan) Brosman, Anna Borkowski; great- grandchildren Ledger and Landon Brosman. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Joseph; stepmother Pearl (Nevar) Bogh; son Bryan Borkowski and granddaughter Bridgette Wegert.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the local humane society in Gloria's memory.
