Gloria Elizabeth Licitar, age 60, of Lancaster, (previously Wisconsin Dells) passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at Orchard Manor Nursing home with her loving sisters by her side.
A funeral service for Gloria will be held on Saturday, April 6, 2024, at 11:00 A.M. at Big Spring Congregational Church with Pastor Bob Hetzel presiding. Gloria was born on July 21, 1963, in Portage, Wisconsin, the daughter of Glenn and Betty (Wampler) Licitar. She is a proud graduate of Wisconsin Dells High School class of 1982. She enjoyed doing many different crafts, knitting, helping with farm chores, helping with all the animals, and cutting wood. Later, in life Gloria worked at a Restore/ Practical Cents store. She moved down to the Richland Center/ Lancaster area and lived in that area for about the last 20 years. She had been a resident at Orchard Manor in Lancaster for the last 4 years and become one of the most liked residents by all the staff there. Even on days where Gloria might have given the staff a "run for their money" she would put her arms out looking for a hug and all things would be forgiven by the staff. Gloria truly enjoyed spending time outdoors and one of her favorite things to do outside was to go fishing. She also was very fond of her family and loved spending time with her parents, siblings, and especially all of her nieces and nephews.
She is survived by her loving parents, Glenn and Betty, her siblings; Glenn (Sandrea Voeller) Licitar Jr., Dean (Amy) Licitar, Debbie Licitar, and Gladys (Mike) Sterk. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the family to be given to different organizations in Gloria's name and memory.
