Gordon Addy, age 79, of Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin passed away Monday, February 17, 2020 at St. Clare Hospice House, Baraboo, WI. Memorial services will be held Saturday, February 29, 2020 at Picha Funeral Home in Lake Delton, Wisconsin. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 12:00 Noon.

Gordon was born October 26, 1940 in South Milwaukee, Wisconsin the son of Cloyd and Irene (Gerber) Addy. He grew up in Oak Creek. As a youngster of eight or nine he learned to drive a tractor while helping the farmers who owned the fields around the house his family rented. He was on hand when his dad built their house, giving Gordon skills he used for the rest of his life. In high school he worked in a gas station, pumping gas and working on cars. After graduation, he was accepted into Ladish Company's apprenticeship program and became a Journeyman Hydraulic Repairman. During that same period he served with the Wisconsin National Guard. He worked at Ladish in Cudahy until retirement. Shortly after he retired, he moved to land north of Wisconsin Dells. Over the years he had many interests. While living in Oak Creek, he raced a stock car and did quite well. He loved fishing for salmon on Lake Michigan, bought his own boat, and enjoyed being part of the crew on a friend's charter boat. He belonged to Golden Arrow Archery Club and hunted deer during bow and gun seasons for many years. He found radio controlled planes interesting and, after moving to the Dells area, was a member of the Reedsburg Area Flyers Club until his health created problems.

He is survived by his wife, Sharon (nee Hart); daughters Mari Jo (Lance) Burri and Jill Addy; grandchildren Kayla, Mitchell, Nathanial (Morgan) and Owen Burri; mother-in-law Gerty Hart; sister-in-law Dawn Bayley; brothers-in-law Larry White, Dick Repinski, Jim Pruitt, Paul Ziarek, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his siblings, Gene, Elaine Repinski, Renee White, Audrey Pruitt, Donna Ziarek, Roger and Steve; In-laws, Carol and Bill Hombs, Bob Bayley, and Gene's wife, Kathy.

In lieu of flowers, gifts to charity or helpful organizations would be a wonderful memorial.
