Jean E. Krause, 93, formerly of Briggsville, Wisconsin, passed away while on vacation visiting family on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at Northside Hospital Forsyth in Cumming, Georgia. Jean was affectionately known as "Oma" to the many who loved her.

Jean made her home in Briggsville for 44 years on the north shore of Lake Mason and cherished the friendships she made there.  She was active in the Women's Auxiliary of Post 329, the lake association, and Waterkeepers of Wisconsin. In 2018, she moved with her family to Las Vegas, Nevada, where she enjoyed the warm weather, constant sunshine, and, most of all, the slot machines.

Jean was preceded in death by her husband, David W. Krause Jr (2014). She is survived by her daughters, Cindy (Greg) Roalfs and Teri (Brad) Saeed; her grandchildren, Lindsay (Graham) Roalfs, Jackie (Eric) Roalfs, Sabrina (Zach) Francisco, and Kendall (Joe) Emanuele; and her great-grandchildren, Parker Francisco, Bennett Emanuele, and Donovan Emanuele, and many fur babies.

A burial service will be held on May 18, 2026, at 11:30 a.m. at Greenwood Cemetery on Highway AA in Columbia County, Wisconsin. Immediately following the burial, a Celebration of Life will take place at Oma's favorite place, Pizza Ranch in Portage. In place of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to an animal shelter of your choice.
