Joann Masters, age 86 of Oregon, WI (Formerly of Lake Delton), passed away Monday, June 17, 2024.

A memorial funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 27, 2024, at 11:30 A.M. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Baraboo, WI with Pastor Karen Hofstad officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service at 11:30 a.m. Burial will be at a later date at Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery.

Joann was born July 7, 1937, in Madison, WI, the daughter of James and Mayme (Olson) Hansen. Joann graduated from Oregon High School, after that she attended Lutheran Deaconess Hospital School of Nursing and graduated at the top of her class. After graduation from nursing school while roller skating, she met the love of her life, Theodore Masters, and married him on June 6, 1959. Ted and Joann were married 63 wonderful years. Being surrounded by her children, grandchildren and family brought her much joy and happiness. Joann was known for lending a helping hand to those in need and her love for all living things. She would light up a room when she entered with her kind and loving heart. She was a good Norwegian because "All good Norwegians drink coffee" and that was her favorite drink. There was never a day that she didn't say the word "Uffda" even in her last beautiful moments!

She is survived by her son, Ted Masters; daughters, Marilyn (Henry) Kallimanes, Janet Aberle; 5 grandchildren, Susan (Brian) Stienmetz, Mark Masters, Kayla (Josiah) Solwold, Kassidy (Dane) Kammer, Darren Kallimanes and 4 great-grandchildren, Alan, Evelyn and Gwendolyn Stienmetz, and Oliver Solwold. She is also survived by her brother Robert (Monica) Hansen, and sisters Joyce (David) Williams, Lois (Ron) Abler, and her sister-in-law Ann Marie Schelde.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 63 years Ted; parents, sister Marilyn Hansen; brother Paul Hansen; grandson Michael and great-granddaughter Autumn.
