Joseph J. Ives, age 82, of Briggsville, Wisconsin, passed away on Monday, January 8, 2024.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 1, 2024 from 12:00 Noon to 4:00 P.M. at the American Legion Post 329 in Briggsville, WI.
Joseph was born on December 20, 1941, in Chicago, IL, the son of LaVern and Maria (Hartmann) Ives. Joe was a graduate of Wisconsin Dells High School, and after high school he proudly served in the US Army. He married the love of his life Sharon Clark on June 5, 1976. Joe also was a founding member of the Radio Signal Modelers Club of Chicago and was a proud member of American Legion Post 329 of Briggsville. One of Joe's most favorite hobbies was cars, and he was a member of the Dells Area Cruisers where he would be seen cruising along in one of his classic cars.
Joe is survived by his wife of 47 years Sharon Ives and his fur-kids Gus and Trixie, three siblings, Warren (Gloria) Ives of Clermont, Florida, Maria (Karlton) Gempler of Wayzata, Minnesota, and Loretta Ives of Alpharetta, Georgia. He is also survived by his sister-in-law June (Alden) Fessey, brother-in-law James Clark, his nieces, Susan (Scott) Lawver, Lisa (Terry) Schroth, Veronica (Ron) Christianson, Retta (John) Witter, Anne (Jason) Hoelzel, Melissa Ives of Clermont, Florida, and Rita Fessey, and nephew Joseph (Kelly) Fessey. Joe is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
Joe is preceded in death by his parents, his sister Barbara Priem, sister-in-law Clara Clark, brother-in-law Robert Clark and nephew Guy McFaul.
