Judith (Judy) Soma, age 96 of Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 27, 2024.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial for Judy will be held on Thursday, December 5, 2024, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Briggsville, WI at 11:00 AM with Fr. Randy Timmerman celebrating. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until the time of the mass at 11:00 AM. Judy will be laid to rest at Calvary Cemetery in Wisconsin Dells, WI following the mass.

Judy was born on July 3, 1928, at the family farm in the town of Lyndon. The daughter of Willard and Jeanette (Clark) Blood. She married the love of her life Harold Soma on October 24, 1953, at St. Cecilia's Catholic Church in the Wisconsin Dells and the couple enjoyed 61 wonderful years of marriage until Harold's passing in 2015. The couple raised their four children in the Wisconsin Dells area. Family time was filled with days on the Upper Dells, and at home where friends and family were always welcome. As time went on, their family continued to grow; Judy's summers became dedicated to her grandchildren, with their dance classes, band concerts, and sporting events filled her days. She was a pillar of family events, making sure birthdays and holidays were celebrated with the people we love.

Judy taught us that family meals are the foundation of unity and togetherness. Sunday mornings brought an unspoken invitation to all family and friends, filling her home with an endless supply of coffee, bacon, love, and laughter. Judy lived a life dedicated to her loved ones. We will carry her love in our hearts, forever grateful for the life she shared with us.

Judy is survived by sons Dave (Peg) and Dan (Nancy) Soma, her daughter Monica (Mark) Meyers and daughter-in-law Nancy Soma. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Harold, daughter-in-law Dawn Soma, son Chris Soma, twin brothers James and John, sister Geraldine, brothers Eugene (Jean) Blood and brother Bob (Barb) Blood and sisters Marge (Richard) Ennis and Alice (Glen) Guiles.
