Karl Thomas Henthorn, age 75, of Camp Douglas, Wisconsin passed away on Saturday, December 6, 2025 surrounded by those he loved and cherished. Karl was born to Evelyn (Strong) and Benjamin Henthorn on August 30, 1950 in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin.

Karl was known for his unmistakable look, one that often sparked jokes within the family about his resemblance to Charles Manson. He took it in stride, laughing along and turning it into one of the many stories that made his life so memorable. Beneath that wild exterior, though was a loving father, grandfather "papa", husband, and friend, he lived his life with a free spirt and love for the open road. Karl spent his life embracing simple joys – none greater than the time he spent with his grandchildren, who were the light of his life. He was known affectionately to them as Papa, a title he wore proudly and joyfully.

Karl had a passion for riding motorcycles, this was more than just a hobby; it was his way of life. He cherished the open road and the freedom it represented, a passion he pursued through the love of his motorcycle. The wind in his face and hair and the road stretching out before him was a reflection of his adventurous soul. Karl's family was the cornerstone of his life. He is survived by his wife of 21 years Valerie "Sue" Henthorn. His daughters Jessica (Ronald) Weiss, and Courtney Craig were both a source of immeasurable pride along with his sons Zachary (Jenny) Jacobson and Zebulluss Jacobson. Karl was a proud "papa" to his grandsons; Sampson (Spencer Olson) Jefferson, Aaron Henthorn, Matthew and Caleb Jacobson all whom carry forward his adventurous spirit. His granddaughters Piper Ast, Cheska Ast, and Kay Jacobson who have inherited his zest for life and stubborn attitude. Karl is also survived by numerous siblings, nieces, nephews, and other extended family. We all will forever hold him in our hearts. Karl is preceded in death by his parents.

Karl's passing leaves a void in the lives who loved him, but his spirit will continue to inspire and guide us. Though we mourn his loss, we also celebrate a life well lived – a life that will continue to be celebrated in stories, laughter, and the echoing roar of motorcycles riding off into the sunset.

His family would like to give a special thank you to Fairview Nursing Home in Mauston, Wisconsin; your compassion for Karl and for our family while he was in your care was unmatched and truly appreciated. His family would also like to thank St. Croix hospice staff who worked with Karl for the past 6 months prior to his passing. Conway-Picha funeral home is assisting the family with arrangements. A private service was held for his wife, children and grandchildren on December 07, 2025.

A celebration of his life will be set for springtime where family and friends can gather and celebrate his life and honor his memory.
