Kelly
Morris
May 28, 1970 — Jan 4, 2021
Kelly Morris, age 50, of Baraboo, WI, passed away on Monday, January 4, 2021 at Agrace Hospice in Fitchburg, WI, with his loving family holding his hands, following a long illness.
A Memorial Gathering will be held on Sunday, January 10, 2021 at the Picha Funeral Home in Lake Delton, WI, from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.
Kelly was born on May 28,1970, in Elgin, IL, the son of Wayne and Diana (Rucker) Morris. Kelly grew to adulthood in Summit, IL and then attended UIC where he obtained a bachelor's degree in business management in 1992. Kelly became a new dad in 1994 and embraced fatherhood with son Jacob. Life later brought him to Baraboo, where Kelly found happiness with his "third times a charm" wife, whom he married in 2004, later welcoming son Kaden in 2005 and son Kamron in 2007. Kelly worked for Ho-Chunk Casino in Baraboo for over 25 years as the Slot Compliance Manager until it became too difficult. He was a sports fanatic and loved his Chicago Blackhawks and Chicago Cubs, going to games when he could and sharing this love of sports with his children. Kelly discovered the Minnesota Junior Hockey League had started a new team in Wisconsin Dells in 2011 where he became the first official and number one fan along with young son Kaden. The following year the Morris family further supported the Ducks by becoming a billet family adding several more sons over the years. Kelly was a very loving husband and father, always ensuring his wife and children knew how loved they were. Kelly was a warrior to the end, researching his illness and trying to do anything possible to stay with his family longer. He endured numerous medical tests at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN and UPMC in Pittsburgh, PA only to be told there was nothing that could be done; enjoy your time with family. In June 2019, he did just that by loading up his truck with his wife Emily of 15 years and sons, Kaden and Kamron. Together the family visited 26 states over several weeks exploring and creating memories that will never be forgotten. Their travels found them visiting several of the Dells Ducks hockey billet sons they had shared their home with over the past decade, among other family members along the way. They shared their adventures with friends and family over social media with multiple pictures of all places visited including Hollywood Beach, FL and the Florida Keys, where the family regularly vacationed. Kelly has touched so many lives over the years, leaving a large village of supporters for his family he leaves behind.
Kelly is survived by his wife, Emily; his children, Jacob, Kaden and Kamron; mother-in-law, Sharon of Lake Delton, WI; brother, Hal of St. Joseph, MI; sisters, Jill of Plainfield, IL, Anna of Woodridge, IL, Cynthia (Josh) of St. Joseph, MI; brother-in-law, Brad (Veronica) of Sunrise, FL; nephews, Nathan, Matthew, Riley, Powell, Tyler, Logan, Dylan and Gabriel; nieces, Grace, Bella, Sabrienna, Karastine, Varina, Maria, and Briana; Billet sons, Ryan, Austin, Ian, Colin, Liam, Kyle, Crosby, Caleb, Zander, Will, Emil, Alex, AJ and Ethan. Further survived by extended family members and many friends, as well as beloved dog Rocky. He is preceded in death by his parents, Wayne and Diana; sister, Maria; father-in-law, Michael, along with grandparents, aunts and uncles.
The family would like to thank Agrace Hospice for their tender loving care during this time of sorrow.
