Linda Putman, age 76, of Baraboo, Wisconsin passed away peacefully Saturday, August 16, 2025 at St. Clare Hospital in Baraboo with her loving husband Harley by her side.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 21, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at the Picha Funeral Home, (120 East Adams Street, Lake Delton, Wisconsin) with Chaplain Jonathan Tipton officiating. Visitation will be held at Picha Funeral Home on Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. Burial will be at Lake Delton Village Cemetery.
Linda was born September 4, 1948 in Baraboo, Wisconsin the daughter of Elmer "Benny" and Ila (Dowd) Prindle. She spent most of her childhood growing up in south Beloit with her six brothers and sisters. Linda was the loving wife of Harley for thirty years whom she married on August 27, 1994. Although they briefly lived in other states they spent most of their life on Harley's Family's land in Baraboo WI. Linda was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, grandmother and great-grandmother. One of her greatest joys and loves was being a mother to her six girls. We remember her as loving, strong, creative and spunky. We admired her unwavering faith. She taught us to love with a faithful heart and everything we have, the love of music, faith, laughter and the never ending love of family.
Linda is survived by her husband, Harley; sister Joannie (David) Shaefer; her six daughters, Alana Zabel, Theresa Zabel, Glenda Zabel (Terry Wells) Tammy (Scott) Beckett, Alissa Zabel (Chris Zimmerman) Angela Evert and step son Scott (Melissa) Putman. She is further survived by her eighteen grandchildren, Derek, Cody, Shelbie, Mariah, Ryan, Reid, Damion, Paige, Madysen, Savannah, Evan, Destyni, Danielle, Samantha, Brian and Brittany; eighteen great-grandchildren; Rory, Rennick, Radlie, Jayden, Zayemiah, Kyzavion, Natalia, Xypher, Braedon, Thea, Stella, Alina, Charlotte, Lincoln and Beckett; sisters in law, Carol Perkins and Patricia Jungbluth along with many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father Elmer, mother Ila; her mother in-law Marjorie Putman; father in law, Melvin Putman; brothers, Dennis, James, Jerry, and David; sister, Joyce, great-granddaughter Caroline, step-daughter Theresa along with many other relatives and friends.
