Lionel Abraham Cloud, Ma\i\tajehi, age 82 of Baraboo, Wisconsin walked on Saturday, June 20, 2026 at the Wm.S.Middleton Memorial Veterans Hospital, Madison, Wisconsin with his loving family by his side.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 23, 2026 at 1:00 P.M. at the Native American Church, N881 US Highway 12, Wisconsin Dells with Joseph WhiteEagle, Sr. officiating. Burial will be at Spring Grove Cemetery in Wisconsin Dells and then followed by a light luncheon at the church. Visitation will be held at the Native American Church on Monday beginning at 3 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. followed by supper at 6:00 p.m. The evening prayer meeting will begin at 8:30 p.m.

Lionel was born March 30, 1944 in Shawano, Wisconsin the son of Howard and Gussie (Cloud) Mike. Lionel had a difficult childhood attending Indian Boarding School, foster home placement on a farm working in Merrimac. At age 18 he enlisted in the army. He failed basic training 3 times, he served four years in active duty and another 5 years in the reserves and was honorably discharged. He met his beloved wife Julia Joan John in Chicago, married her and moved to Baraboo to be near his relatives. Lionel worked at the Badger Ordnance Ammunition Plant. Most of his career he was self-employed as an auto mechanic, wrecker service, junk yard, with the last of his more known business as "Lionel's Mobile Home Transporting". Through this business he traveled all over the US to places like Florida, Texas, Minnesota and many other states. Lionel took in strangers that were homeless or needed a place to rest their head or feed them a meal. He loved to talk and joke. He enjoyed a good televised pro-sport baseball or football game and WWE wrestling. Lionels favorite past time was gambling at Ho-Chunk Gaming Wisconsin Dells where he loved winning jackpots. Lionel lived his life on his terms.

Lionel enjoyed classic music, such as Buddy Holly, Conway Twitty, Johnny Cash and western movies with John Wayne or Clint Eastwood in the "Good the Bad and the Ugly". He loved his mechanic tools. His favorite foods were chicken, fish, hamburger, Baraboo C-Store chili and a can of coke.

Lionel is survived by sons, Lionel Benjamin Cloud, Buckley Cloud, Sterling Cloud and Keith Channoprogada (Linda Gilchrist); daughters, Rebecca (Mike) Zittlow, Melissa Curtis, Alice (Michael) Quinlan and Theresa Day; and grandchildren; Ashley Funmaker, Sylvia Bissonette, Cole Zittlow, Jayson Zittlow, Carman Zittlow, Jeffrey Camacho, Christopher Curtis, Andrea Camacho, Tianna DeCora, Trinity DeCora, Kerstin Schriever, Shina Dean and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his; wife, Julia Joan John; sisters, Sharon Prusia, Carol Sandoval and brother Henry J Mike; mother Gussie (Cloud) Mike and father Howard Mike.
