As our father would say, 'I woke up dead' on Wednesday, February 7, 2024, at the age of 95.

Lou was the son of William and Marie (Bendene) Knuth. He was born and raised in Ableman (Rocksprings) WI. While working at Badger Ordinance he met and fell in love with his wife, Shirley Landt. After graduating from UW Steven Point, he taught Junior High for 2 years in Wisconsin Dells. From teaching he became a Probation and Parole Agent for the state of WI. He served Grant, Iowa and Sauk counties throughout his career.

He is survived by his two daughters, Shari Seymour and Mary (Ken) Knapp, daughter in-law Sally (Schneider)Knuth, four granddaughters, Betsy McKelvey, Katie Seymour (Luis Morone), Mackenzie (Jake) Marks and Sydney Knapp (James Watrud) and two great-granddaughters, Angie and Samie McKelvey. He was preceded in death by his son Bryce W. Knuth, his sister Esther (Knuth) Nimmow, and his wife Shirley.

A private family service will be held at a later date.
