Margery, "Marge" (Halverson) Zimmerman, age 84 of Briggsville, WI earned her wings on Tuesday, August 5, 2025.

Marge was born April 15, 1941 in Madison, Wisconsin the daughter of Bert and Grace (Duckert) Halverson. In 1965, she married LeRoy Zimmerman and was blessed with two sons, Mark and David. She was blessed to work in the medical field as an LPN for over 40 years in Portage, Wisconsin, where she loved the people she worked with and cared for. She was a lifelong member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Wisconsin Dells and the American Legion Auxiliary in Briggsville, Wisconsin. Marge loved to bake, and Christmas did not begin until her Christmas cookies were baked and plated for all to enjoy. Everything she cooked or baked was so good and could not be replicated, it would never taste as good as hers. Ever. Her family looked forward to her homemade buns at every gathering and the holidays will never be the same without her and the "made from scratch" cooking. Along with the deep love that she had for her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren; she enjoyed spending time with them, and was always quick to babysit. Marge and LeRoy enjoyed weekend getaways to visit friends or to just take in the scenery. Marge's deep faith in the Lord Jesus Christ drove every aspect of her life and we can be rest assured that she is with Him in the room that has been prepared for her.

Marge is survived by her husband LeRoy, of 60 years; sons, Mark (Annette) and David (Chelsea Moore-Zimmerman); brothers, Owen Halverson; brothers-in-law, Gary (Joy) Schrab and Wayne Staveness; sisters Avis (Terry) Mueller, Helen (Robert) Risgaard; 4 grandchildren, Brandon (Stacey) Zimmerman, Jennifer (Mike) Percy, Zoey and Dawson Zimmerman; 2 great-grandchildren, Brooks Percy and Jaxson Zimmerman, along with many nieces, nephews and cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Clayton and Raymond; sisters, Linda Schrab, Connie Staveness and Bertha Halverson.

A memorial funeral service will be held Friday, August 15, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Wisconsin Dells with Reverend Matt Gehrke officiating. Visitation will be held at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00. A lunch will be served at the American Legion in Briggsville, WI, following the service.
