Wisconsin Dells

Obituary

Mariah Gracelyn Barron, of Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin passed away on June 22, 2024, at the very young age of 15. Born in Baraboo Wisconsin on April 28, 2009, to Chad and Amber Barron, Mariah was a light in the lives of all who knew her. Her hometown of Wisconsin Dells was not just a place she lived; it was a community filled with amazing friends and family that she cherished with her whole heart.

As a Freshman at the Wisconsin Dells High School, Mariah was preparing for her sophomore year and poised to embark on a future as bright as her smile. She found joy and solace in the pages of books and gaming with her friends. Her passion for helping others extended beyond her life, as she dedicated countless hours to loving her many friends and her fury pets, which reflected her deep love for both to help ensure their happiness.

Mariah's hobbies were as diverse as they were heartfelt. An avid reader, skilled swimmer, volleyball player, band member, and talented archer, she found beauty in many forms of expression. More than anything, Mariah loved spending time with her friends and family, bringing joy and laughter into their lives.

Mariah's kind heart and radiant smile were her trademarks, earning her the love and admiration of her classmates and all who knew her. Her special bond with animals was unmistakable, often spending her weekends playing with her pets at her family home.

Sadly, Mariah's journey was cut short, and she is now reunited with her maternal grandfather and grandmother, Ronald, and Mary Barron and Uncle Lonnie Barron, who predeceased her. She is survived by her maternal grandfather and grandmother James and Irene Subera of Hillsboro, paternal grandmother Sharyl Meenen, along with Uncles Jason and Ryan Subera, Jason, Ronald, Brad, and Cal Barron, and Matthew Meenen. Her spirit, however, lives on in the hearts of those she left behind. Mariah is deeply missed by her parents, Chad, and Amber; and her younger sister, Shania; and a host of extended family members and friends who were blessed to have known her.

A celebration of Mariah's life will be held on Sunday, June 30, 2024, beginning with a visitation at 1:00 p.m. followed by a Celebration of Life Memorial Service at 2:00 p.m. at the home of her favorite hunting friends Jeremy and Danielle Smith, located at 866 Gillette Lane, Wisconsin Dells, WI 53965. Speakers for the service, including Chaplain Thomas Hotek, along with an open microphone for all that have a memory to share to help us remember and celebrate the remarkable life of Mariah. Following the service, Mariah will be remembered by all with a traditional prepared BBQ. A reception will be held at the Smith's family property, where we will continue to share memories and honor Mariah's legacy.
