Obituary

Marion Grace Licitar passed away peacefully at home on November 3rd, 2025, at the age of 94.

Marion was born in Milwaukee, WI in 1931. She was the daughter of the late Edward and Anna Hedrick.

Marion married the love of her life Frank Licitar in 1951 and enjoyed 53 loving years with each other before Frank sadly passed away in 2004. Together they loved fishing, hunting, camping, traveling, and hosting family get togethers where Marion could share her amazing cooking. Marion loved to talk about their adventures especially trips to Canada, Alaska and out west.

Marion was an energetic person who was never shy of challenging work or long hours. She worked for Briggs & Stratton before retiring after 25 years. Among her other enterprises, she owned and operated a successful roadside diner in Friese Lake for years. After moving to a farm in Wisconsin Dells, Marion was an avid gardener with her beautiful flowers and abundant vegetable crops.

Marion was also a gifted artist with a passion for oil paintings as well as an accomplished cake decorator whose delicious offerings reflected her artistic eye. Marion loved her pets: dogs, cats, ducks and befriended any stray animals that crossed her path.

Marion was preceded in death by her father and mother Edward and Anna, her sister Evelyn and her brothers Donald, Arthur, Edward, Raymond, Richard, Paul, Herman, and James. She is survived by relatives, nieces and nephews and their children.

Marion lived a long and prosperous life full of love and lasting memories. May she rest in peace with her beloved Frankie at her side for all eternity. She has been interred at Spring Grove Cemetery in Wisconsin Dells.
