Marjorie (Marge) Putman, age 95, of Baraboo was called to her Heavenly home, September 19, 2023, peacefully, with her loved ones by her side.

Marjorie was born on December 26, 1927, to Merritt and Lillian Burright in Portage, Wisconsin. Marge was caught holding Mel's hand in a local movie house and they were married in 1945 in Dubuque, Iowa. Mel built a home for him and his new bride on Shady Lane Rd where they remained for a lifetime. Their family grew by six, David, Delbert, Harley, Harvey, Patricia, and Carol. Marge enjoyed selling campfire wood alongside her son Harley and talking with her customers. She could be found mowing the east field anytime. She loved putting together a good puzzle and having a fresh cup of coffee with anyone in the family. She loved time in the garage with the love of her life working on cars. Her faith in God grew at Walnut Hill Bible Church and she prided herself being associated with the Silver Saints.

Marge is survived by her children, David Putman of Sarasota, FL, Harley (Linda) Putman of Baraboo, WI, Patricia (Donald) Jungbluth of Grand Marsh, WI, and Carol (Mick) Perkins of Baraboo, WI. She is also survived by her sister Lila Barton of Wyocena, WI and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Mel, sons Delbert and Harvey and siblings; Donald, Merritt, Daniel, Robert, Lawrence, Roberta (Bucky), Marion, and Jane.

A funeral service for Marge will be held on Monday, September 25, 2023, at 11:00 A.M. at Walnut Hill Bible Church with Pastor Dan Gunderson presiding. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service at 11:00 A.M. She will be laid to rest next to her husband at the Lake Delton Village Cemetery following the service.
