Obituary

Mary Ellen Fish, age 78, of Baraboo, Wisconsin passed away peacefully October 12, 2025. Mary was born December 5, 1946, in LaValle, Wisconsin to Donald T. and Audrey E. (Greenwood) Pearson. She grew up in the LaValle area and graduated from Reedsburg High School. She married Micheal Fish in 1965 and together they raised their two sons, Mark and Jeff. Mary worked as a pharmacy technician for Lombard's/Dean SSM Clinic Pharmacy in Baraboo for 40 years. She later worked at Culver's in Baraboo. She was actively involved at St Joseph's Catholic Church, serving as a eucharistic minister, lector and CCD class instructor.

Most of all, Mary loved spending time with her family and friends, whether it was watching a movie, going for lunch, attending family reunions with her siblings and cousins or just visiting. She was a loving and doting grandmother and would attend her grandchildren's activities whenever possible.  She didn't just watch her grandkids doing activities, she would actively join in and was always willing to try new things.  She enjoyed family gatherings for the holidays and always made Christmas memorable.  Everyone always looked forward to the huge assortment of Christmas cookies she made every year.

Mary is survived by her husband, Micheal; sons, Mark (Kathleen) and Jeff (Dani) Fish; sister Sandra (Dan) Grieser, brother Thomas (Catherine) Pearson; brother-in-law Patrick (Kelli) Fish; sisters-in-law Mary (Fish) Gullickson, Marilyn and Diane Fish; along with five beloved grandchildren, Michelle, Ryan, Christine, Scott and Ashley Fish.

She is preceded in death by her parents, sister Carol Gibeaut; brothers-in-law, Mike Gibeaut, Lawrence, Raymond, Kenneth and Dale Fish and Terry Gullickson; numerous aunts, uncles and other family.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Our House Memory Care in Wisconsin Dells and the Moments Hospice Care team, all of whom treated her with love and tenderness.
