Mary Claire Marshall, age 88 of Mauston, Wisconsin passed away peacefully Saturday, April 6, 2024, at Cottage Care Circle in Mauston, Wisconsin.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, April 11, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Lyndon Station with Father Cryton Outschoorn celebrating. Burial will be at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Conway Picha Funeral Home in Lyndon Station on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. and then proceed to the church for Mass at 11:00 a.m.

Mary was born July 14, 1935, in Mauston, Wisconsin the daughter of Martin and Mary (Coughlin) Mitchell. In October of 1956 she married Merlin Marshall. With her husband they farmed together on Cassidy Road raising dairy cattle and hogs, with Mary Claire helping with all the farm chores, from driving tractors and baling hay to milking cows. She was a member of St. Mary's Sodality and a member of the VFW 5970 Ladies Auxiliary.

Mary is survived by a sister, Rita Hall, and numerous nieces and nephews and many friends. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Merlin; brothers, Johnny Mitchell, Jim Mitchell, and Joseph Mitchell; and sisters, Margaret Gawronski, Florence Drea, twin sister Mary Frances Mitchell and Rosemary Lupo.
