Michael (Mike) Thompson, age 69 of Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin passed away after a long battle with cancer on Wednesday, April 26, 2023 at his residence with his loving wife by his side.

The Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held Saturday, April 29, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at United Presbyterian Church in Wisconsin Dells with Reverend Steven Keller officiating. Visitation will be held at United Presbyterian Church on Saturday from 1 p.m. until the time of service at 2 p.m.

Mike was born September 17, 1953 in San Diego, California the son of James and Janice (Beals) Thompson. In June of 1982 he married Carla Brown in Crossville, Tennessee. For many years Mike worked for the Canadian Pacific Railroad and retired in 2017 as engineer. Mike was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He loved being outdoors hunting, fishing, boating, camping, and water skiing. Most recently he acquired a UTV and enjoyed taking rides with Carla and close friends. He could build or fix anything and was an outstanding auto mechanic. He served as Scoutmaster of Troop 66 in Wisconsin Dells and had many wonderful adventures. He was an active member of United Presbyterian Church in Wisconsin Dells and was known as the Sunday morning "Coffee Maker".

Mike is survived by his wife, Carla; mother, Janice; sons, Jason, Joshua (Angie) and Jeremy; a sister, Luann Thompson; and grandchildren, Ethan, Samuel and Abram. He was preceded in death by his father.

The family wishes to thank Agrace Hopsice for their reliable and caring service. It made it possible for Mike to remain at home as he wished.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donation be made to United Presbyterian Church, Agrace Hospice, or BSA Troop 66 in Wisconsin Dells.
