Obituary

Naomi Beatty, age 91, of Baraboo, Wisconsin passed away on Saturday, December 12, 2020.

A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, December 17, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. at the Conway-Picha Funeral Home in Lyndon Station, Wisconsin with Reverend Matt Gehrke officiating. A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be at Elroy City Cemetery in Elroy, Wisconsin, following the service.

Naomi was born January 2, 1929 in Reedsburg, Wisconsin the daughter of Fred and Verna (Bender) Hutchens. After highschool graduation in 1947, she attended LaCrosse Business School and became a secretary. Her first job was at the LaCrosse Cooler Company and later the LaCrosse Rubber Mills. She had also worked at the Badger Ordinance Works/Badger Army Ammunition Plant, RAYOVAC Battery Company in Wonewoc, Wisconsin, the Dousman Printing Company and many others. She married Wesley Beatty in April of 1951 in Cazenovia, Wisconsin.

Reflecting a long working career, she set an example for her children and others on how to work and raise a family which means everything. Naomi led a life full of fun times in her youth, living with her family next to Lee Lake in Cazenovia, Wisconsin. She spent her winters ice skating and having bonfires on the ice, burning old tires from her father's filling station, to summers filled with softball, roller skating, lots of fishing and playing at the Keller farm.

She is survived by her children, Dwayne Beatty of Hales Corners, Wisconsin, Nona (Skip) Knapp of Cascade, Wisconsin and Jackie Miska of Madison, Wisconsin; brother, David Hutchens; sister, Belva (Lawrence) Hanko; 3 grandchildren, Sara Beringer, Paul Miska, James Miska and 4 great-grandchildren, Aimee and Josie Beringer, Sydney and Walker Miska.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and son, Paul.
