Obituary

Patrick James Drea, 74, of Wonewoc, Wisconsin, passed away surrounded by love one's on March 11, 2026.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, March 19, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Lyndon Station, Wisconsin with Father Cryton Outschoorn celebrating. Visitation will be held at the church from 9:30 a.m. to the time of Mass at 11:00. Burial will be at the St. Mary's Cemetery in Lyndon Station.

Patrick was born on Christmas day to Leo and Florence Drea, both of whom preceded him in death. Pat was raised in a proud Irish Catholic home deeply rooted in love, laughter, hard work, and faith. Patrick graduated from MSOE in Milwaukee with a degree in Electrical Engineering. He moved to Chicago, where he built his career with Commonwealth Edison. He was known for his dedication and strong work ethic before eventually retiring. Following his retirement, Patrick returned to Wisconsin and settled on his beautiful farm property in Wonewoc. He designed his home there and took great pride in maintaining and developing the land and property he loved so much. Patrick was an avid reader and fan of old movies who loved spending time outdoors and especially cherished time with his family. He was known for his great sense of humor, sharp mind, quick wit, and his warm, memorable laugh that could brighten a room. He also found great companionship in his beloved dog, Roosevelt, and his cat, Kitty.

Patrick is survived by his siblings: brother Richard and sister-in-law Karen, brother Terrence, sister Mary and brother-in-law Klaus Wischki, brother Timothy and sister-in-law Paula, and sister Kathleen, along with nieces and nephews, extended family members and friends who will remember him fondly. He was preceded in death by his dear friend James Golden.

Patrick's laughter and spirit will live on in the hearts of those who loved him, and he will be deeply missed.
