Philip Asa Vanderbilt, age 71, of Wisconsin Dells, passed into eternity with his Lord on Tuesday, August 26, 2025. He was born on May 4, 1954, in Portage, Wisconsin, to Duane and Persis (Herrick) Vanderbilt. Phil grew up in Orange County, California, and graduated from Kennedy High School in 1972, where he enjoyed playing football. For most of his life, Philip was a truck driver and saw many parts of the country. After retirement, he moved back to Wisconsin to be near family, where he lived with his two beloved dogs.

Phil is survived by two children, Leslie (Matt) Pisarzewicz of New York, Philip (Nicole) Vanderbilt of Colorado; three grandchildren, Eva, Cora, Alex Pisarzewicz; his sister Donna (James) Filiatrault of Montello; three brothers, Stephen (Kazuko) Vanderbilt of Japan, David (Jennifer) Vanderbilt of North Carolina, and James (Jean) Vanderbilt of California. Phil is also survived by nephews and nieces and other relatives.

The family is grateful for the care of the Montello Care Center and St. Croix Hospice.

A graveside memorial service was held on Sunday, September 21, 2025.
